Most of the tips written about here on Blog Building Tips come from years of experience working with clients.
There is a real person behind this blog and the tips given are from questions from those clients and the fact that I have built hundreds of blogs for different genres and companies and individuals of all sorts.
The content is written in a more simplistic way in hopes of helping those just getting started or those that are growing. I try hard not to overcomplicate the subject and get right to the point. (Hence the term “tips”).
So with that said, allow me to give you a few suggestions about Tip # 12 which is a question I am often asked when starting to build a blog.
5 Important Pages to Add to Your Blog/Site
1. About Page – everyone surely knows what this means. It is an important page to have and can be designed with only a few sentences to a more lengthy description if needed. Your readers will visit this page to see what your site is all about and some background on why they should continue reading your blog. Tell them about yourself, as much or as little as you want the world to know and what you have to offer.
2. Contact Page – Here is a page to add your newsletter/email signup. Or if you wish, your phone number and address if you are a business. You might want to list everyone in your circle that is part of building your site/business. Each with their own email address or contact info. If running the site solo, you are not required to post your information, only a way for people to contact you.
3. Disclaimer Page – This is one of a few legal pages that is required by law. It can protect you from any legal actions against you. Especially if you are selling products or services or perhaps anything that you write.
4. Private Policy Page – This is to assure visitors that any personal information is lawfully being collected, stored, and only used by you and not leaked out to any other sources.
5. FAQs Page – On this page, you can address the questions of readers. This is primarily used to answer questions about your service or products you have on your site or just simple questions and answers about the use of your blog and content. This page is not created as a general rule on every blog but a well-thought-out FAQs page might reduce the bounce rate on your site.
