Almost every website/blog has an about page.
The page that describes what your site is and who is behind the work. It might be a personal site and your about page will certainly say a little about you and what you are writing about on your blog. It might be a company website and the about page is describing the type of business that is published on these pages, about the products, the services, the history, and more.
But when is the last time you visited that page?
Does it require an update?
Time to check-in and find out. Make sure the information published is still relevant to your company or personal blog. Update the image. Change things around, add to it. Check the links and make sure they still work and are pointing to the right place. Broken links are annoying and links that lead to a page that no longer exists are a reader’s waste of time.
Perhaps the content was written a few years ago, check the grammar, the spelling, etc,.
Refresh it!
Let the readers landing on your site know that you are on top of the information about you going out into the world, the latest news.
Check out other “about pages” from bloggers or company websites and get some ideas as to how you might refresh your page. And don’t forget to add the SEO words and phrases.
